Thousands of children with asthma do not participate in physical activity because they fear exercise will trigger an attack. Yet, exercise is important to their health and for their lungs.

Asthma Camp is designed to show children that physical fitness, sport and outdoor activities can be fun, safe, and a part of their lifestyle.

The program is especially designed for children with asthma, ages 5-12.

Asthma Camp is a cooperative program through California State University, Long Beach, Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education and the American Lung Association of Los Angeles County (ALALAC).

Asthma Camp is sponsored by CSULB Department of KPE and ALALAC with support from individuals who contribute to the Association.

Scholarships
Limited scholarships are available based on financial need. Camp fees are already reduced for all campers. Priority is given to first-time campers.
