Lung Disease is the number one disabler of America’s workers. Tobacco-related lung disease costs California alone almost $10 billion annually, while asthma in children has risen 72% since 1982.

The battle against lung disease, air pollution and smoking is still with us, and the American Lung Association of Los Angeles County is committed to continuing the fight. But we need your help.

Donations
Your donations help fund all of our many programs, from asthma education in schools to stop smoking clinics and clean air advocacy. When you make an online donation using your credit card, your donation can go to work immediately. We use a secure server to ensure your credit card information is safe.

Memorial Donations / Tribute Gifts

You can make a Memorial Donation in honor of a family member, a friend, or co-worker. A memorial donation is a wonderful way to express sympathy for the loss of a special person. A lovely card is sent to the decedent's family and to you acknowledging your gift.

You can make a Tribute Gift to commemorate happy occasions -- birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, retirement, graduation, a get well wish, or to honor a family member or friend who just quit smoking. A lovely card is sent to the honoree and to you acknowledging your gift.

Did you know? You can donate stock, land or even items of personal property. Avoid capital gains tax and qualify for tax deductions.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity provides for a safe, guaranteed fixed income for the life of the annuitant while also leaving a legacy gift to the American Lung Association of Los Angeles County. Rates are typically higher than many other forms of fixed income instruments. Donate Your Unwanted Vehicles

Do you have an old vehicle that no longer runs, or costs too much to keep running? Consider donating the vehicle to the American Lung Association of Los Angeles County. Your donation will fund our important programs and services that prevent lung disease and promote lung health. And one phone call does it all.

If you have the title (pink slip) for your vehicle, call (888) 888-0447 and let We Care do the rest. They'll ask you a few questions, and make arrangements to have the vehicle picked up, at your convenience. You'll receive a thank-you letter acknowledging your donation, and a sheet advising you of the published Kelley Blue Book range of value for your vehicle.

Your vehicle donation is tax deductible to the maximum extent permitted by law. Please understand that the American Lung Association of Los Angeles County makes no representation as to the value of your vehicle and it is up to you and your tax adviser to assess the fair-market value of your donation.

And remember, we can accept a donation of virtually any kind of vehicle: cars, trucks&even boats!
