0ver 300 people attended the Breath of Life Awards dinner at the Regal Biltmore Hotel on May 6, honoring 4 outstanding Latino leaders and raising over $100,000 to fight lung disease. The honorees were: California Secretary of Business, Transportation and Housing, Maria Contreras-Sweet; tuberculosis survivor and Founder/President of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, Dionicio Morales; the Consul General of Mexico, Jose Angel Pescador Osuna; and Congressman emeritus Edward R.
